I began working with clay when I was 12 years old at St. Leonards Mayfield School where I worked on different projects including making a series of Viking Ships. I spent most of my time avoiding the more academic subjects and hiding in the ceramics department where I enjoyed trying new things. I joined an evening class learning to throw and later used that skill to make one of my final A-Level pieces.
I displayed work in the Wing Gallery, Wadhurst (2015) with the rest of my A-Level class.
Once I finished school, I started my Ceramics BA at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I was able to expand my knowledge in ceramics, learn to make glazes from scratch and carry out my own firings. Here I discovered my style, using raku and making small bowls.
I have been part of exhibitions in the Ken Stradling Collection, Bristol (2018) and at Llantarnham Grange, Cwmbran (2018) as well as the Cardiff School of Art and Design Degree Show (2019).
